NWT SRC releases A Guide to Establishing a Monitoring, Evaluation and Accountability System for the NWT Sport and Recreation Council
September 8, 2011
The NWT Sport & Recreation Council’s (the SRC) mandate from the Minister of Municipal and Community Affairs (MACA) stipulates that it will be accountable for achieving outcomes. The second goal of SRC’s 2011/2012 – 2013/2014 Strategic Plan enforces this mandate by requiring (Whiteworks, 2010):
- funding recipients to be accountable for the funding they receive by reporting on their achievement of the
SRC’s priorities identified in Goal #1, and
- the SRC to monitor their achievement of all the goals listed in their Strategic Plan.

Hey Northerners!
We want YOU to rediscover the joy of moving. Not so long ago, this land was filled with people who moved to survive – hunting, trapping, fishing, building igloos, moving about on the land – but somewhere along the way we started to spend more and more of our time sitting. And not just sitting, but sitting indoors.
But the land is still out there. We are lucky enough to live in one of the last places in the world with true wilderness.
You have the best playground right outside your door. So get up and get outside!
